0:00 – If you open doors in the buildings on the spawn island, they’ll be open for you when you take a boat there. This saves you time when looting there
0:29 – The most efficient way to heal using bandages is by using the next one when you see you get your third increment of health from your previous one. Don’t spam them, it’s pointless.
2:07 – The fastest way to get down from the apartments is by walking off the railing on the roof onto the little arch above the doorway. You won’t take any damage this way
2:33 – Pressing CTRL + U will disable your teammates death icon if it’s blocking your shot. This disables all other HUD as well
3:02 – Pressing C will make you dive in water, and SPACEBAR will make you rise, this is easier than moving your mouse all the way down or up
3:14 – You can start moving when the healing item you’re using is at 0.5 seconds left and it will still be used. This works whether you’re on foot or in a car
3:42 – You can jump higher than normal by pressing JUMP, CROUCH, and W all at the same time
4:08 – Dropping healing items as bait is a good way to trick people into thinking an area or house is not looted and therefore clear
4:59 – If an enemy sees you, they will most likely change their movement pattern or take a longer time to do something than normal
5:26 – If you’re shooting an enemy and they take cover behind an object, keep shooting around that object so that they think they have the angle wrong and take cover on the wrong side of the object. Especially useful if you have a silencer
5:54 – Don’t switch weapons when throwing grenades, and always commit to the throw even if you have to throw it away so that you don’t die
6:38 – All grenades have a 5 second timer, so do a mental countdown from 5 when cooking grenades
6:55 – Change the inventory key from TAB to any other button, so that you can sprint and look at your inventory without bringing up Steam’s SHIFT TAB menu, or so that you can look around with ALT and look at your inventory without ALT TABBING
7:13 – Clicking and holding when you shoot a sniper will keep you scoped in, allowing you to see exactly where your bullet hit
7:40 – If you shoot your sniper and instantly change weapons, the next round won’t be chambered in your sniper. Tap left click or do a full reload to chamber the next bullet
8:39 – You can grab items while jumping by quickly dragging them into your inventory
8:52 – If you hold CTRL while dragging an item into your inventory, it will automatically type in the max amount you can carry. Also, ammo loaded into your magazine doesn’t take up inventory space
9:13 – All levels of vests give a capacity boost of +50, so upgrading your level of vest doesn’t increase the amount of items you can carry
9:24 – If you have to exit your car to take a fight, you can press CTRL + 2 or CTRL + 4 to switch to the passenger side of the car so that when you exit you can use your own car as cover
10:10 – By holding down SPACEBAR, SHIFT and W you can spin the wheels on your car, and then when you let go of SPACEBAR you’ll accelerate faster than if you just pressed SHIFT and W. Most useful if you’re waiting for your teammates to get in the car or waiting for an item to be used
10:54 – White line to white line on the map is 100m, so diagonally across a white line box is 140m. Yellow line to yellow line is 1000m. Knowing this makes zeroing shots easier.
11:10 – All cars spawn in facing east with their backlights out, and all boast spawn in facing west. In order to turn off the backlights, you need to jump out of your car when it’s still moving at a slow speed (Fixed June 29, cars now spawn in facing a random direction)
11:49 – Going prone with the M249 reduces the recoil to almost none, and this makes destroying cars very easy
12:02 – Grenades equipped in the bottom right of your inventory won’t show up on the left side of your inventory, so you if you just look on the left side it won’t give you your true grenade count
12:22 – Going into first person can sometimes help you see the plane or crates easier
12:30 – Use alt to look around when you’re hiding in a bush or grass, so that your whole player model doesn’t rotate (which makes you really visible to other players)
12:46 – You can throw grenades into the little huts through the tiny windows
12:53 – Level 3 bags obtained from crates have a unique, leafy camouflage look to them.
13:12 – You can delete the file LoadingScreen.mp4 at C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonPUBGTslGameContentMovies
and you’ll load into the game faster (thanks /u/Dakstar)
Note: I learned the apartments jumping trick from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1uL94lZG5w#t=12s however every apartment that you jump off seems to have a very small height inconsistency or something as the damage taken is sometimes none, or a random small amount. This is why I recommend just jumping onto the arch thing as I’ve never taken any damage that way.
